Women Pay Equity – Evidence NOT Ideology

Need evidence that our society consistently undervalues women?

Here’s revealing data on which occupations have the largest and smallest wage gaps between women and men.

It's 2016! How is this still happening?

Our campaign lays the blame at the door of partisan political warring between the Dems and GOP, each more oriented toward winning than public service and good governance.

As of April, 2016 there are close to thirty bills addressing pay equity, paid family leave and other important issues to women, stalled in Congress, because of the Party Affiliation of the Sponsors.

Current Examples:

Bill Name Sponsor Party Reason for Stalling
H.R. 2248: United States Cadet Nurse Corps Equity Act Nita Lowey (D) “The sponsor is a member of the minority party”
H.R. 4027: Women’s Small Business Ownership Act of 2015 Suzan DelBene (D) “The sponsor is a member of the minority party”
H.R. 448: Women’s Health Protection Act of 2015 Judy Chu (D) “The sponsor is a member of the minority party”
H.R. 4235: Women’s Pension Protection Act of 2015 Jan Schakowsky (D) “The sponsor is a member of the minority party”
S. 2437: Women Airforce Service Pilot Arlington Inurnment Restoration Act of 2016 Barbara Mikulski (D) “The sponsor is a member of the minority party”
H.R. 4803: Women and Minorities in STEM Booster Act of 2016 Carolyn Maloney (D) “The sponsor is a member of the minority party”

The Congressional Reform reported in The Atlantic, Politico, and NPR, takes control of Congress away from the non-constitutional, divisive political parties. (The Constitution makes no mention of Parties, nor Democrats nor Republicans).

When the divisive parties cede control Congress members will be freed from pressure to vote “party-line”.

Instead they’ll be free to vote as they should, as public servants:

On The Merits

We MUST shift governance from partisanship, to merit. From “ideology” to “evidence”.
